A graphic artist, painter, scriptwriter, director, teacher. In 1967, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, he studied painting, graphic arts and animated film in classes of such professors as Wacław Taranczewski, Konrad Srzednicki, Włodzimierz Kunz. Right after completing his studies he worked as a graphic artist and painter, participating in around 150 exhibitions in Poland and abroad, and receiving a number of awards, including the 1st Award in graphic arts at the National Competition of Arts “Wiosna Opolska”. Since 1981, he has been involved in teaching work at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, being in charge of the Animated Film Studio. In 1984, he was granted the title of professor of Fine Arts. He led as a guest classes and workshops on animated film with students in National Film and Television School in London, at the University of Munster, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Vilnius, Toulouse and Vienna.
Professor Bogusław Skowronek

Professor Bogusław Skowronek, Ph.D. works at the Pedagogical University of Cracow, at the Department of Media and Cultural Research as well as the Department of Cultural Linguistics and Social Communications at the Institute of Polish Philology. He is an expert in film and culture, a researcher of media and media language. He is a promotor of filmmaking. He managed the “Wspak” Discussion Film Club, he is still in charge of the Film Section of the Polish Philologists Club at the Institute of Polish Philology of the Pedagogical University in Cracow. He cooperates with the Polish Film Academy and is a member of multiple Polish Scientific Associations, e.g. the Polish Cultural Studies Association and the Polish Association of Film and Media Research. His main research interests include film studies as well as studies of media and media linguistics. He is an author of nearly one hundred scientific articles relating the above fields of study as well as books, e.g.: Konceptualizacje filmu i jego oglądania w języku młodzieży (Conceptualisation of film and film-watching in the language of adolescents). Studium kognitywno-kulturowe (Cognitive and Cultural Study), Cracow 2007; Film w przestrzeni kultury audiowizualnej. Studia. Szkice. Interpretacje (Film in audiovisual space. Studies. Essays. Interpretations), Cracow 2011; Mediolingwistyka. Wprowadzenie (Media Linguistics. Introduction), Cracow 2013. It is important to note that he is an enthusiast of film in all types and forms; many years ago he filmed amateur motion picture projects on an 8 mm (photosensitive) tape.
Mikołaj Valencia

Animation director and Visual Effects Supervisor. Graduate of the Lodz Film School from the department of Direction of Photography and TV Production Department.
As the supervisor he oversaw and created special effects to film productions in Europe, USA and Asia (including Arbitrage, Vamps, Essential Killing, Testosteron, Młyn and Krzyż). Lecturer in courses related to post-production. An active co-creator of events and projects that connect people with different kinds of media.
Janusz Bielecki

Janusz Bielecki

Jury member

Composer, promotor, film producer and ambassador of art. Founder of the Bielecki Art Foundation. Creator of solo, chamber and classical music. His works are included in the repertoires of popular artists, and in programmes of prestigious concert halls in Poland and abroad (e.g. Palau de la Música Catalana – Barcelona, Großer Saal Musikverein - Vienna). He is the concept creator of the international festival entitled “Screen & Sound Fest – Let’s See The Music.”
